David Malone

David is a highly experienced corporate lawyer with a strong track record of leading corporate and commercial projects and transactions.

He looks after some of the firm's highest profile corporate clients, assisting them with group re-structures and re-organisations as well as acquisitions, disposals and mergers. He has considerable experience of working with legal services and financial services businesses as well as structuring and establishing private equity funds .

In addition to his role as the firm's CEO, David helps facilitate our Strictly Boardroom Live entrepreneur program.

Recent examples of David's work are: 

• Advising on regulatory elements for fund managers when structuring private equity funds, particularly around collective investments and financial promotions.
• Advice on FCA regulatory matters ancillary to M&A transactions in FCA regulated businesses e.g. IFAs and Insurance Brokers
• Advice surrounding FCA regulatory matters relating to CMCs
• Advice on SRA regulatory matters generally (non-contentious)
• SRA reg matters relating to setting up new law firms and ABSs, incorporations (partnership/LLPs to limited) and group restructuring.
• Advice relating to structure of businesses regulated by other Legal Services Board regulators e.g. BSB, IP Reg and CLC
• Regulatory advice around litigation funding to law firms and CMCs
• Regulatory matters relating to M&A in legal sector.
