You are warmly invited to our inaugural fireside chat, where we sit down for an interesting conversation with a leader in their field. Our fireside chat brings together industry leaders, innovators and forward thinking professionals for candid conversations on the ideas shaping the future.

Each session offers a relaxed, engaging format where guests share real world experiences, lessons learnt and practical insights across leadership, technology, strategy and growth whether you are looking to stay informed, spark new ideas or connect with a community of curious minds, our fireside chats are designed to inspire meaningful dialogue and fresh perspectives.

When Klopp arrived at Anfield, the club hadn't won the league for a long time. Under Klopp's reign, that changed, as did the culture of the club and community. He didn't do it with the biggest budget. He did it with a method.

This session unpacks that method, and what it means for the way you lead your business, your team and your culture.

Drawing on six key principles, Gemma will explore:

  • Data with a wider lens most organisations look at numbers through one window. What else counts as data, and what are you missing?
  • A plan people actually know about - Klopp's was 30% tactics, 70% relationships. How clearly is yours communicated, and who's bought into it?
  • Psychological safety - why the best teams admit mistakes faster, and why that matters more in professional services than almost anywhere else
  • Relentless inclusivity - from cleaners to physios, everyone at Liverpool had a part to play. Does everyone in your firm feel the same?
  • Increasing capability - Jordan Henderson said Klopp made everyone around him better. What would it take for your people to say that about you?
  • A team of leaders - the best Liverpool sides had leaders everywhere, not just the captain. How do you build that, deliberately?

This is a fireside chat - honest, practical, and built for a room full of leaders who already know their stuff. Expect challenge, stories from sport and leading organisations, and plenty of time for the questions you actually want to ask.

Format: Fireside conversation with Gemma Ellison, followed by audience Q&A

Gemma Ellison is the co-founder of Heart Leadership, a culture and leadership consultancy that works with organisations serious about building places people actually want to work, and also Culture Camp, and events company on all things workplace culture. She's a Scouser, a Liverpool fan, and a relentless believer that the best teams are built on relationships before tactics, Gemma has spent the last decade helping leaders move from managing people to genuinely leading them.

Her client work spans professional services, financial services, and global brands, with a particular focus on senior teams who know something needs to shift - and want a partner brave enough to say what others won't. She is the creator of The Culture Habit, a programme built on the idea that culture isn't an away-day; it's the small, deliberate things leaders do every day.

Gemma writes, speaks and hosts conversations about leadership, courage and the human side of high performance. She's known for a style that's warm, direct, and refreshingly free of jargon - and for an unshakeable view that great leadership is a craft, not a personality type.

When she's not working, she's usually walking her two Labradors or spending time feeling sad about being a Liverpool fan right now.
